Chitose is a classic style ryokan in the spa resort town of Matsunoyama-Onsen. Its onsen is up there as one of the best in the country for its curative effects and has a high sodium content. The ryokan itself offers traditional tatami accommodation but everything has a touch of luxury about it. The design and décor are first rate and constant improvements keep Chitose looking brand new. Matsunoyama is a beautifully secluded area with a relaxing small town feel to it.
