Chojukan is the dictionary definition of a ryokan. It is the picture-perfect Japanese ryokan and has been plying its trade as a stop off for weary travels for over a century. It is hidden away in the mountains of Gunma, so it is the ideal relaxing getaway. It is attached to Hoshi Onsen which is famous in its own right. The main building of Chojukan is old and has been gradually added to over the years but each addition stays true to the traditional style and you can almost feel yourself transported back in time.
