Kaikake Onsen is a traditional ryokan close to Kagura ski resort. It has a long history and has been providing onsen baths and accommodation for travellers for many years. Tucked away across a one-lane bridge, Kaikake Onsen is one of the class of “hitou” onsen – hidden onsen off the beaten track. The rooms are traditional Japanese style and the onsen here is renowned for beneficial effects for your vision.

Access from Tokyo
Kaikake Onsen is just off Route 17 past the Mitsumata Ropeway on the way to Tashiro. They offer a pick up service from the top of the road to Kaikake Onsen. The bus stop is Kaikake Onsen Guchi on the public bus line from the East Exit of Echigo Yuzawa Station.
