The Story of Lodge Suehiro | Yuzawa
Suehiro Lodge is just a few minutes walk from Echigo Yuzawa Station but feels as if it is out in the countryside. It backs onto an abandoned ski slope so conducts great views of the surrounding nature. The owner is a carpenter by trade and the rooms are all named after the tools of his trade. The rooms themselves are well appointed Japanese style, with everything you need for a warm, comfortable stay. The lodge also boasts one of Yuzawa's famous sons and you will soon realise what he does from the various pictures and articles lining the corridors. The dining room makes you feel part of the family and an onsen downstairs is the perfect way to end your day with a glow.
