Sakura Tei has taken a company accommodation building and turned it into a quality ryokan, right in the heart of Yuzawa. It is run by the same family who own the Honjin Ryokan, one of the oldest in the area, so it has a fantastic pedigree of hospitality. Recently renovated, it offers a high level of traditional Japanese accommodation but has plenty of modern touches to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and many of them feel like small apartments rather than individual rooms. It is a great place to relax with plenty of areas for guests to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. There are also onsen baths to soak away the stresses of daily life, and a sumptuous selection of dishes from the meals.

Access from Tokyo
Sakura Tei is a five-minute walk from the West Exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. Come out of the exit and head down the stairs to the purple lit under pass. Turn left and at the end of that road you will see Sakura Tei on the other side of the T-junction
