Takinoyu is one of the top ryokan in Yuzawa with clean, simple décor and a very classic ryokan style. The interior is well maintained and fresh with all the touches you would expect in a modern ryokan. There are several onsen with a large main bath (including outdoor bath and sauna) as well as a smaller private bath, and rooms with hot spring baths attached. In traditional Japanese style the evening meal is served in the room and is a fantastic combination of seasonal, local flavors and stunning presentation.

Access from Tokyo
Takinoyu is just off the main Onsen Street on the west side of the Station. Head out of the West Exit of Echigo Yuzawa Station and turn right into Onsen Street. Past Yukigunikan Musuem is a public covered foot bath. Turn left here and head up the slope until you come to a road on your left. Turn left and Takinoyu is just on your left. It takes about 7 - 8 minute walking distance from the Echigo Yuzawa Station to Takinoyu. They also offer pick ups from Echigo Yuzawa Station.
